Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3-5 years financial institution experience and CPA preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and intermediate database management and report writing skills required. Advanced computer, calculation and typing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrates professional and courteous telephone, email and direct customer communication abilities. Ability to perform duties with a limited amount of supervision.
Job Responsibilities:
This position will assist in managing the daily operations of the bank's Finance and Accounting Department and support the Controller in establishing, implementing and documenting internal controls while managing risk throughout the bank. Responsible for preparation of internal and external financial and other management reports. Will play a key role in profitability and interest rate risk analysis, as well as assist in the coordination of audits, regulatory exams, tax planning and budgeting.

Job Requirements:
At least five years of prior experience in applicable areas such as accounting treasury, finance, planning, audit and /or tax. Sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles is required. Undergraduate degree required, with post-graduate coursework or degree, or professional banking school certification, a plus. A CPA license is a significant plus. Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of software products is required; proficiency with Information/Data Management software is critical in connection with the ability to design queries and custom reporting. The ideal candidate is an individual at ease with advanced technology, who enjoys a position with a broad range of functions, and who wishes to join a dynamic organization.
Job Responsibilities:
This position encompasses many responsibilities typical for a Controller at a federally insured depository institution. Responsible for general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, prepaid assets, accruals, subsidiaries and reconciliations and certifications. Generates Bank's financial reporting for both internal and external use. Administers the Bank's compliance with capital markets related policies such as Reg. F/Correspondent Concentration Risks & Liquidity. Oversees annual attestation audit cycle in conjunction with Independent accounting firm. Takes active role in responding to regulatory examinations. The Controller interfaces regularly with the Bank's Board of Directors, employees, clients, vendors, and various local community organizations. The Controller serves on the Bank's Asset/Liability Management Committee and supervises the Accounting Department Staff.
